Yannie Handicraft started a business in 2012 with fish scales handicraft products. Derived from waste of snapper and parrot fish scales, which are produced into various kinds of women's accessories. During the pandemic, the product increased by making ecoprint fabrics, and in 2021 adding handicrafts from fiber abaka. Abaka banana is an endemic plant of the Talaud Island.
